Solid Mimosa Extract

A natural soluble extract with no added chemicals, uniform in quality, pale in colour, low in salts and sludge formation. Ideal for the manufacture of sole, strap, harness, case, upholstery, lining, and other vegetable tanned leathers.

Solid Extract

Mimosa GS Spray Dried Powder 

A light colored spray dried Mimosa Extract powder. It is suitable for any vegetable tanned leather where a particular pale colour is required. It is eminently suitable for the retanning chrome leathers, which are to be finished in lighter shades.

Mimosa OP Spray Dried Powder

A natural soluble spray dried extract powder, uniform in quality, pale in colour, low in salts and sludge formation. Correct tanning conditions give rapid penetration followed by high tannin fixation.
Ideal for the manufacture of sole, strap, harness, case upholstery, lining and other vegetable tanned leathers. Particularly suitable for the retannage of chrome leather were fullness, buffability and good printing and planing properties are required.

Storage Conditions:

Store in cool, dark, dry and well ventilated premises, away from direct sunlight and heat.

All the three products have the following characteristics:

  • Biodegradable vegetable tannin – with negligible odor
  • Completely soluble in water
  • Flash point – melts
  • Extinguishing media – water
  • Special fire fighting procedure - none
  • Explosion hazards – none
  • Emergence first aid procedure – flush with water
  • Reactivity data : incompatibility to other chemicals – none
  • Hazardous decomposition products – none
  • Hazardous polymerization – will not occur
  • Spills or leaks – wash with water
  • Waste disposal – regular land fill
  • Respiratory protection – suggested gauze masks and goggles
